it was hot, the nights were cool. we had the perfect hide-away. with a few weeds and logs in our way. but it was great! the kids had a blast. frogs were the big hit. they were everywhere. they were catching them, naming them, handing them off to the other kids to 'babysit' them. they put them in the water to see if they could swim ..and they are fast by the way. the frogs escaped, and they caught more.
gage miles jorja and cameron played hide-and-seek when i was dark. used their headlamps and flashlights to find eachother.

we went to rainbow bridge. the hike was miserable, only because it was hot. drove the boat up some cool canyons. allen, brady, and john jumped off a cliff, several times.
gage attempted to wakeboard. after 4 tries he was tired ...he had it though. he was on his way up, and let go. he'll get it next year!
and then we drove home, through the beautiful canyons, with the leaves changing colors. and the very sad machine gun fire on the mountain behind our house.
