as we have started our first week back in school, I am the one having a hard time getting back into the swing of things. i dont know what i was thinking, but all the sudden, its halloween time. i dont know where it came from, but its here!
my poor kids..
im so lucky they are easy going!
we had to pull out the box of old halloween costumes we had on hand so they could participate in the halloween parade at school.
lucky for me, jorja had been asking to be the same princess she had already been, otherwise, she would have been my battle. gage and miles could care less.
gage wore this same costume in 2009.
miles wore this same costume in 2006!
jorja wore this same costume in 2008.
i guess it kinda pays to get a little bit bigger costume. miles was 2 when i bought that costume for him. 2! now hes 7 1/2 (he never lets me forget the half), and it still fits. jorja was also 2 when i bought her the princess dress. we had gram hem it up for us. and it fit her perfectly, 3 years later.
anyways
kids had their parade and halloween parties today. and i only made it to jorjas. im a torn mother, i feel bad that i can only help in one kids class, but that story is for another day..
it was fun.
then my little bro called and asked if he and his girlfriend could carve pumpkins with us.. oh yea, pumpkins are part of halloween... so when the kids got home from school, we were off to the pumpkin patch. im telling ya.. its been a rough week. but at the end of the day, the kids were happy, they had a fun day, fun carving pumpkins, no meltdowns.. and that to me is a successful day/week, whatever.
