Miles has been showing some interest in soccer, so we signed him up this fall.
it was his first year of soccer, and he surprised us...
he was awesome!
his first game he said he wanted to be goalie. and he did awesome. but the coach asked that he try forward, and he was comfortable there. im not sure where miles got so good at this game but we were pretty proud!
We were lucky enough to get a great coach. We were so happy with him, he was so good with the kids, so patient with them, was great at coaching the kids who had never played before, and he had the nicest thing to say about miles in an email..
I just wanted to tell you how great I think Miles is. He has such a solid game (as he, once again, showed us today) and is such a hard worker. I can tell that he really has the best interests of the whole team at heart -all the makings of a good team captain. I really enjoy working with him. Thanks for all your help!

wasnt that nice? it really touched my heart. he liked our miles as much as we liked him. our coach's son wasnt really into soccer... sitting on the field, looking everywhere but at the ball,
we asked him if he was gonna coach again in the spring, he just responded 'if my son wants to play". but we werent the only parents that asked him... he was that great of a coach.
